A very peppy and energetic composition by Vishal/Shekhar duo. As always Sukhwinderji has given a powerful and minblowing vocals to the composition. Matching his harkats and energy in his covers is a tremendous challenge but also very enjoyable at the same time.

Tera Milna Pal Do Pal Ka - ( Album - Jaan 2000)
Teri Deewani (Kailasa Album - Cover )
Album : Kailasa
Singer : Kailash Kher
Cover: Vijay
Kailasa (pronounced Kai-lash), is an exponent of the age-old Sufi musical tradition, which received world recognition and immense popularity through the Late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khans collaborations with premier western musicians like Peter Gabriel, Michael Brooks and others.
I have tried to sing it in my own style , a little nasal at places on purpose :-)
Here goes my sincere attempt at this very tough but amazing composition.

-Vijay

Simple, elegant and loads-n-loads of romance is what aptly sums up this composition. Every word is like a whisper loaded with emotions.
What can I say about Rashmi she is a very talented singer. I am glad that I was able to sing this duet with her. I think this is one of her best renditions. Great work Rashmi!!

Gayatri Mantra
Om Bhur Bhuva Swaha,
Tat Savitur Varenyam,
Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi,
Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat.
Om Shanthi Shanthi Shanthi.
MEANING :
“O, Supreme Lord, The Source Of Existence, Intelligence And Bliss, The Creator Of the Universe. May We Prove Worthy Of Thy Choice And Acceptance; May We Meet Thy Glorious Grace. We Meditate On Thy Transcendental Light. Please Illuminate Our Intellect And Lead Us Unto Righteousness”.
“Gayatri Mantra” has great vibration and really brings enormous peace to mind and soul. Plus its a good vocal training exercise !!

Yeh Tara Woh Tara ( Swades-2004 )
Movie: Swades
Music: ARR
Singer: Udit Narayan
Cover: Vijay
This is one soul-stirring composition from ARR which I extremely admire (the penultimate stanza of this song almost always makes me little emotional…extremely beautiful lyrics and composition is all I can say). Udit Narayan gives a power packed rendition. I was wanting to attempt this song for a while. Luckily found the karaoke track yesterday. Athough the karaoke track is not perfect I have to tried to do my best with it.
Here goes my modest attempt !

Mai Agar Kahoon (Om Shanti Om - 2008)
Movie: Om Shanti Om
Music: Vishal-Shekhar
Singer: Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal
Cover: Vijay, Smitha
This is a wonderful composition from OSO and I truly admire Sonu’s rendition. The mood of this song exudes beautiful emotions. I have tried to do my best.
Shreya’s vocals give a totally different dimension to this composition. Smitha, I think has done great justice to the few lines she sang and it totally lights up this rendition.
Thanks Smitha for all the help.

-Vijay

Deewane Hoke Hum - Revisited
Undoubtedly one of the finest singing from Sonu Nigam. This song is a very close to my heart and still makes me nostalgic about by childhood days, every time I listen to it.
This is a very peppy number which was sung by Sonu with great panache and elegance.
Here goes my another attempt at this incredible melody.
Kabhi Alvida Na Kehena (2006)
According to me this song is of the most expressive and emotionally engaging composition in recent times. Although not a very tough song but the challenging part is to bring out all the right emotions that the song is meant to have.
Here goes my attempt to sing this is beautiful composition…and yes I have sung both the parts of this duet because the lyrics and emotions they convey are so beautiful that I didn’t want to give away any bit of the experience :D
Cheers !
